Do you like a challenge?

N-Gage are once again undertaking one of the 3 peaks challenges this year on Saturday 13th June 2015.  Depending on how many of you are interested in signing up, we will be hosting either the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – 26 miles in 12 hours, or the National Three Peaks Challenge – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon all in 24 short hours.

Whilst we would of course like as many people as possible to be involved in these challenges and raise lots of money for N-Gage you should be aware that you will need to be an experienced walker and reasonably fit in order to undertake either of these challenges.

If that hasn’t put you off and you’d like to know a little more about the challenges then read on…

Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728m) and Ingleborough (723m) and covers 26 miles of walking.  These impressive peaks form part of the Pennine range and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.  The challenge is to complete the walk in under 12 hours and hopefully get back in time for a refreshing beverage in the local pub.  The support team will meet you between each of the peaks to replenish water supplies and provide food.

National Three Peaks Challenge

This challenge takes in the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales those being Ben Nevis (1344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1085m) in a 24 hour period – including travel.

N-Gage will arrange for all travel, meals and an experienced guide for the challenge.  We will also provide lists of items that you will need, together with some items that you might find useful.

A training walk will  be organised to Snowdon so that you can get to meet your fellow walkers, swap tips and practice for the big day.

What you need to do?
What we ask from you – as well as your time and willingness to undertake this challenge – is that you raise sponsorship of ideally around £150 for the Yorkshire Three peaks and £200+ for the National Three Peaks.

What next?
