Improvement works have now started to the youth centre in Burnage. We are excited to be able to bring our unique offering of programmes to young people living in the area and to invest in the neighbourhood. We believe that the young people in Burnage will benefit hugely from services which will focus on developing solid relationships, positive behaviour and community cohesion as well as assisting them with their social and educational needs.
Find out more about our plans for the centre from our CEO, Christie Spurling, in this video:
Over the coming months and years we hope to offer the following services under a phased approach:
Youth Drop In · Youth Advisors Panel · Homework clubs · Community cafe · Craft sessions · Offices · Internet Cafe · Counselling rooms · Advice/Guidance services · Business Support · Back to work support · Training/meeting rooms · Mediation rooms · Family contact rooms · Apprenticeships and qualifications.
Before we can move into the building to begin to roll out our youth provision the building needs £20,000 of repairs. We are asking for your help in making this happen by sponsoring a brick to help us build a better future for the young people of Greater Manchester. To donate now please visit our Just Giving page here.
Could you donate your services? We are also on the look-out for anyone who would like to donate their time and services to help us with the refurbishment of the building and installation of our youth provision.
